The Custodian Banquet is an annual event that The REACH Project helps plan alongside a Texas A&M student organization called Fish Aides. Fish Aides creates their own marketing content for the event while REACH creates its own for its own social media platforms.
In 2021, the social media/marketing team had limited marketing content for the event. I was only responsible for creating a single social media graphic that advertises the event. In 2022, the social media/marketing team decided to take the promotion of the event further. Instead, I was in charge of not only creating an advertisement for the even itself, but also creating partner acknowledgement and recap posts before and after the event.
The idea for the common theme across all social media posts came to me after looking at old pictures of the 2021 Custodian Banquet. The students were photographed jumping around, cheering, and celebrating the Texas A&M custodians. They wanted all the attendees to have fun and I think the students were also having just as much fun. I wanted to reflect that energy in the posts by including those specific pictures and also using multi-colored letters (using The REACH Project's brand colors). I wanted to convey to our viewers that this year's banquet was going to be no different in that aspect and generate excitement for the event again.
